Welcome to Beoworld !

Something in its start up sequence is not completed.
Difficult to say what, without having it on the bench.
Platter belt missing? Stuck keyboard buttons? Electronic fault?

Are you sure it's a Beocenter 7000?

The BC7000 does have a display, but it's a 7 segment figure of eight numeric display so I'm not sure how it would display an exclamation mark or the word "wait".

On more recent products, the word "wait" is usually associated with the pin code protection system and will be displayed if an incorrect pin code has been entered several times. In these cases the product will need to be left connected to the main for a number of hours until the message disappears and then another attempt can be made at entering the correct pin code. The BC7000 doesn't have pincode protection though so this information does not apply here if it is BC7000 we are dealing with.

Kind regards,

Martin.

Ah, ok. If Martin (Dillen) recognises this message then ignore my last post, as he know much more about these product that I do!

Apologies if my post was misleading. I've learned something new today Smile

Martin.

There is not only a 7segment display, but a few other lamps too - and there is a "wait" lamp.

i was wondering if you found a solution. I have the same issue. Have replaced the board with buttons and the display board, but still have "wait" issue.

beocenter 7000 ( type 1803)

Hi,

i am am sure each case is different. I had the same issue. I also had a donor system, I replaced the board that has three large capacitors on it, next to the power transformer. It fixed the issue and the unit works perfect now.
