hi

I stupidly turned the TV off at the mains and when I turned it on again it asked for the pin code. I thought I could remember it from 3 years ago. I should have known better. I eventually decided to go and hunt down the paperwork and found I was one digit out, ggrrr. Now the TV has locked me out and every time I turn it on now it just tells me to wait. Can anyone help me? How do I get back to the pin code screen?

Which TV?
Most units will reset and give you another couple of tries after mains off for some hours.
If you have entered TOO MANY wrong codes, the unit will lock permanently and you will have to ask
an authorized dealer (bring the purchase receipt) to do a factory reset.

The WAIT message means that you have entered the PIN incorrectly 3 times. In my experience the waiting period can be about 5 hours, or more conveniently, overnight. Make sure that you leave the TV connected to the mains during the waiting period.

If you then have the correct PIN all will be well. If not, as Martin suggests, you will need a dealer reset.
