Does anybody have a solution to allow me to use my new Beoplay H7 headphones wirelessly with my PS 4?

I have tried connecting them via Bluetooth and the PS 4 but if does not work, displaying a non compatible error message.

Many thanks in advance.

Hi Sarters and welcome to beoworld.

It's a Sony issue as they've chosen not to support standard bluetooth headsets on the PS4 (even though they worked fine on the PS3).

You can use certain USB bluetooth dongles to get the sound from the PS4 to your headphones, but I've yet to see a dongle that will get the audio from the headphones' microphone back to the PS4 - some come with a microphone that plugs into your controller to work around this issue.

Do a google search for "ps4 bluetooth headset" and you'll find plenty of discussion around this issue along with some of the recommended USB dongles if you wish to go down that route.

Kind Regards,

Martin.

Thank you for your reply Martin.

Yes, a dongle would be the route I have had to take. I have looked at a few but not sure which one.

Anybody out there that has used a usb dongle in their PS4 to bluetooth to a headset?

Regards

Sarters
