Does anyone know if a Beolink 7000 remote can actuate source V.AUX from pressing a function on it?
After reading though the manual cover to cover and trying everything i can think of all i can create as a source on the Beolink 7000 on Video is
T.V V.TAPE V.TAPE2 and C.D.V.
On audio i can create source
RADIO A.TAPE CD PHONO A.TAPE2 and A.AUX.
The problem i have is actuating a STB-C controlled beovision MX/AV9000 set, i can use the Beo4 remote on a list function of V.AUX but cannot on a beolink 5000 or 7000 remote as there is no V.AUX function to actuate the AV2 scart socket on the Beovision AV9000 which has had to be named as V.AUX to enable the STB-C module to work the digital box i've just fitted.
Hope someone can help me with this as the intruction book i have for the beolink 7000 sugests there is a V.AUX function, but i cannot program it in or even find it.

Beolink 7000 :
Panel -> Setup -> System -> Components -> Video -> Other... Here you can add the V.AUX function
BL1000/5000:
SHIFT+TV = V.AUX

Hi Weebyx,
Tried that, that is what i have been doing on the Beolink 7000, all i get as options are T.V. V.TAPE C.D.V. V.TAPE2 defo no V.AUX on mine???
IN regards to beolink 5000, pressing SHIFTand T.V at the same time does nothing, i have 2 link 5000's both do nothing
any other ideas?
Phil
It is not SHIFT + TV at the same time, first SHIFT, then release, and then TV..
Both my BL5000 can do this(it has been a standard since the forst Beolink 1000), and the same works for BL1000
I have never seen a BL 7000 with CDV button, what are the options under .... -> Video -> Other ?
What are the type and SW version of the BL7000 ? can be seen on the back under the raise mechanism when the remote is raised.
Hmm, apparently CDV is on the latest versions...
Have you tried to add the CDV and try that ?

And can you name the SCART2 to V.TAPE2 instead, and use that on the remote ?
That is just SHIFT and the V.TAPE on BL1000/5000
HI weebyx,
Yes, i have managed to get the beolink 5000 to get V.AUX, i have to on mine press T.V. which turns on the old analoge T.V. and then SHIFT then i get V.AUX on the link 5000 and it turns on my Humax box and it works, not very well but it does change chanels after a bit of a fiddle.
However, the beolink 7000 which i've just bought does not get V.AUX, i dont think its programmed into this one.
I cannot find the SW sticker under the hinge when its moved open? maybe its fell off?
Mines absolutly mint, its like band new, bought it from a chap in Austria with the tall stand charger, i love it.
Under Video sources and OTHER all i get as options are V.TAPE2 and C.D.V. thats it, nothing else.
I wonder if this is a late one and its had the V.AUX changed for C.D.V.?
Any other ideas?
Hi ,
Tried the usual naming AV2 scart to V.TAPE2 and CDV but then it does not switch on the HUMAX Box, the Humax box is Only turned on with the television and is controlable only when V.AUX is selected, and so far i can only do this on the beo4 and now on the Link 5000 but not very well.
Its the 7000 i just want to say on it V.AUX so i can actually get a full screen on it to change the speaker settings for say sound 5 or sound 3 etc, and change chanel would be good, all i get on the beolink 7000 currnently when V.AUX is selected on the beo4 is a blank blue screen and hardly any red functions so its useless when the telvision is on which is a shame
On the top of the 7000 remote where is says SOURCE the rest is blank as it does not know whats connected to it?
