Hello All

I was lucky enough to buy at a very reasonable price a whole B&O model 5000 with speakers.

I found later a PMC (panel master control) on ebay. The pmc seems to work (leds on) but doesn't seem to control the hifi. Could it be the infra red that is out of order or shall I activate smthg somewhere?

Thanks

Welcome to Beoworld !

First make sure that the MCP (Master Control Panel) is correct for the Beomaster receiver;
If you have a Beomaster 5000, you need MCP 5000.
Beomaster 5500 needs MCP 5500.
They are not interchangeable!

Thanks Martin for this start

Yes the MCP and Beomaster are both 5000.

I was wondering if there's a switch to active or something else? the MCP shows "no transmission" message.
