Since this morning I am also not able to search spotify (takes long time to search and eventually 'not found shows') and the 'new releases' do not show anymore while that still worken the last days. Tried resets, account deletion kn the bs5 and adding it again with no help.
I also put in a ticket with this info to beocare. If I get an anwser I will let you guys knownas well.

Same issues. Top albums data hadn't changed for ages prior to disappearing. This product has only recently been discontinued and it really does need support for a few years yet.
Two years ago the Spotify source seemed to be a unique selling point for the BeoVision TV's. At least it was for me. Currently I am facing the same issues with Spotify. The App is very much outdated and is only functioning partly. I have now cancelled my Spotify subscription and moved over to Apple Music completely. With the built-in Apple TV 4 I have now access to all my own music (via iCloud Music synced to the cloud) and the music available on Apple Music, via one integrated interface. A much better alternative in my opinion. Also solves the issue the HomeMedia player cannot decode Apple Lossless. It is a pity the whole BS4 SmartTV platform seems abandoned by B&O in such a relatively short time frame.

By the way, tried a recovery due to some other issues but that dod not solve the spotify issue

I have this evening heard from BeoCare in Denmark, the response was:
I would suggest more people write and flag this issue as I'm not very hopeful on my own they will actively resolve?
This is my answer from Beocare that I got today:
I will go further with B&O IF they dont fix this issue. I think it is very bad for B&O if they dont solve this problem. It is just 7-8 month ago since the Beosound 5 was discontinued.

My experience with 'beocare' is that intact they are usually prompt and helpful. A recent example is updating deadlines for internet radio on the beosound 5. I've dealt with Ina Bang Andersen on a number of occasions and found her to be very helpful.
The latest issue with Spotify I agree is frustrating. It is more frustrating when actually this was a known problem ( I believe) going back several months. Spotify flagged last year they would no longer be supporting Windows XP and a solution should have commenced then.
My local show room suggested I consider a 'moment'- they did so politely. They also offered to follow up with Denmark to check on what was being done to resolve the Spotify issue. Unless the moment has lossless via Deezer/ Spotify I'm not sure why I'd bother! I think the Beosound 5 (when working properly) is a nicer and better looking product.
I shall check in with Ina again in the coming week to see where things are up to. I'll let people know.
I dont believe after just a few months of the product no longer being sold they wouldn't have a solution in mind??
