I have a few sets of 4000/6000 speakers and I have one 4000 that's turning out to be a problem child.

Seems no matter what I do it will randomly turn on and start to buzz and will continue to do so until I leave it unplugged for quite some time.

Even with no other cables connected (PowerLink or RCA) it will continue to buzz.

I have moved the speaker around tried PL2/3 cables as well as RCA. I have even swapped the power cables with units that have been working for a long time and the issue still occurs.

I think at this point it might be something internal.

Any ideas?

I agree with you - If you have tried swapping it and it is the problem, then you have isolated the issue. Taking these apart would be beyond me so I would simply have it serviced - the only problem being is that this will probably be a module swap and not cheap. There is a service manual on site but it wont be very helpful I am afraid - the problem solving page does not list your issue.

It does have the circuit diagram and a circuit board layout diagram if you are at all electronically skilled though - you need a silver membership to access it. Would be no use to me though!
