Hi I've recently aquired a beogram 1500 with Beovox 1001 speakers however one of the speakers has a damaged cable and i thought I'd replace both with newer cables. The problem is I'm unsure how to remove the front metal grill without damaging it or if there a way to get in via the back ? It does look glued in from the rear.

Welcome to Beoworld !

And what a nice vintage system! :-)

To get inside the Beovox 1001 (and 901), you will have to carefully ease the "rubber-like" plastic surround off at one end and
a little down both sides - just enough to slide the metalgrill that way out.
Then unscrew the woofer and swing it aside to access the innards.

You cannot get in from the back.

Thanks for the reply I don't know if I want to do that incase I I damage them I'm now considering maybe putting banana clips in to link the damaged secretions rather than opening them up. But will that cause a issue with sound quality?

If a length of cable is intact close to the speaker, perhaps you can extent the cables externally.
