As I'm planning to only NL my new house, and as I've got a BV8-40 that I think I will keep for some years, I started the NL network with a NL/ML from Lee...
Here is the connection scheme : BV8-40 >> ML cable >> NL/ML converter >> aux cable >> BS 5 Encore
On the other rooms, there will be BS Essence (bedroom + bathroom) and Beoplay A9 (kitchen), but those NL devices are not there for the moment.
First question : I have set the NL/ML as A MASTER, which I think is the good choice as it's the thing handling audio for the BV8. But for IR MODE, I would like to be able to chose Option 0 (No IR, the BV8 has to "communicate" IR commands through ML), but there is only 1, 2 and 4 : what to choose ? (currently nothing happens when I select a NL/ML source on the bv8, but I mapped them...)
If someone knows the easy way to set it up so that I can run the BS5E via Music and Radio, and the Beomusic via N.Music and N.Radio, feel free to help !
Second question : is it possible to make the Beomusic App detect the NL/ML as a streamer without any BS Essence/A9 in the system? For me the NL/ML is a full featured streamer, so it could be possible, but it's maybe software-protected.

Ok, for the first question, it was just a connection error (Masterlink cable not properly connected), but the question about IR option remains : which one is correct? I miss option 0!

Correct - to bridge between NL and ML (using the converter) you'll need to have at least one of each type of these products.
Your BSE is just an audio device, that you have connected to the Aux of the converter - it is neither a ML nor a NL product.
