How can you tell (easily) that a BeoSound 4 has the DAB+ upgrade ? Want to check an auctioning BS4 remotely.

After a long time searching I've come across a Beosound 4 supposedly with the DAB+ upgrade...

There is a screen shot on the auction of the BS4 display showing DAB+, but i wondered is there another way to verify its DAB+ ? The shot of the underside shows the usual DAB socket (which my BS4 DAB [not plus] has).

Can anyone suggest some way to verify the BS4 has DAB+ ? Some service menu option or something physically different on the unit ?

This auction seems too good to be true - and a reasonable way of exchanging my DAB BS4 for a DAB+ BS4...

Id be grateful for any advice

I can see that both mine and the auction Beosound 4 are type 2855's  - but i can see on the B&O label for the auction Beosound

"Acc: DMB"

 whereas mine is

"Acc:DAB"

Can anyone confirm if Acc:DMB reflect the DAB + version ?

Well it took the plunge after having B&O confirm that the serial number had had a DAB+ upgrade. So although Im not sure if the Acc:DMB indicates the DAB+ upgrade - I'm now the proud owner of a BS4 that can get all the DAB+ stations....

So many more options for stations to listen to without ads !!

My 'old' / loved BS4 without DAB+ is now on ebay .... if anyone is interested.

I have the same question. It seems the DAB+ stations are not received. How did you make B&O confirm this? Any email address?

I checked through a local store that the serial number had the upgrade, it didn't take too long and was what I needed for confidence in the Ebay item

A new version of the BeoSound 4 software was made in order to support DAB+.
