I have got a beogram 1800 that seems to work correctly but has very slow motor so I have started to dismantle the motor

has anyone else had any luck fixing these motors I think it is the same one from the beogram 1000 its seems a lot more difficult to fix than the 1202 motors, there doesn't seem to be a screw to release the capstan

also, the tarnish on the aluminium is there any way to get that off,

manny thanks

Nice deck,

Can't help on the motor point but I know that the metal trim does tarnish with age and almost every 1800 I have seen has this problem. I don't think there is a solution.
