My wife and I have been visiting Manaus and the general Amazon region for the past 6 months. We are now up in North America in Orange County, California.
We returned from the mosquitoes and rain to find two computers ( turned off and unconnected ) still sustained bad hard drives somehow, both 1T of which had to be replaced. Fortunately, both were covered by extended warranties.
The Beosound 4 and Beosound 3200 were up and working fine after reconnecting. At least they play well. Last week however, I tried to reconnect our Beoports and M-L systems, and found we could not download the Beoplayer program from the new B&O website.
I contacted the B&O store in Pasadena, California, and advised Devon of our findings. She contacted me today advising that B&O Technical support in Chicago, USA, was not aware of the problem until this morning. She stated that it should be corrected and "up and running in a few days. "
I apologize if this is old news. I hope it is helpful information.
PS: A big thanks to Lee and Craig at Lifestyle AV for the 2 day air delivery of the AV 9000 stand from London for the Beosound 3200. Truly remarkable !

Thank you.
We appreciate the suggestion. Is this a simple download, one item at a time, or must you download all ?
Looking forward to your reply !

To download the latest BeoPlayer or BeoPort software just dowload the file(s) named "beoplayer" or "beoport" (without any additional figures, these are indicating previous versions)
Wien;
Are you speaking of the B&O website to download from, or the FTP beoplayer website ?
Thank you for the clarification.
Guys, you are fantastic !
Our two computers, beoports, and Beosound systems are back in the music business.
You accomplished what 7 B&O stores here on the West Coast were unable to do, or even aware of. My sincere appreciation to you all !
maybe I am stupid but what does FTP stand for . I have tried and tried to download from the B&O website but it fails
FTP stands for File Transfer Protocol.
On the internet you normaly use websites which are based on http (Hyper Text Transfer Protocol). The pages use much graphic and so on. ftp pages use a simple style like windows explorer to show the content.
You can download the latest beoplayer version 5.04 here:
ftp://ftp.beoplayer.com/BeoPlayer.exe
Copy the entire line to your web browser and press enter. You will be asked to save the file.

Morgen !
I again wish to thank everyone who helped provide the FTP information. I'm listening now to N.MUSIC which would have been impossible to do a few weeks ago.
Yesterday, Devon called back from the B&O store above and advised me the original Beoplayer link from the B&O website is now up and working again. I told her that my friends on BEOWORLD had already provided a working solution, but thanked her for the follow through and callback.
Still unsure as to what got through the big power surge protectors and fried our two computer HD's. New hard drives (1T each) had to be installed, which were fortunately covered by extended warranties. The Beoports which were connected were surprisingly unaffected, as was the HD on the Beosound 3200. No problem with the other system and the Beosound 4: Only the PC hard drives.
All downloads and program keys and licenses have been saved on a flashdrive, including the beoplayer and beoport FTP downloads, should this happen again.
