Folks,

Looking for any help. I have 2 Beoplay A6 speakers. The Beomusic app sees them both and can control either of them independently. However when I try and group them I am unable to. The inactive speaker will not show the plus sign. Frankly nothing happens when I touch it. The A6 that is active will give me the x to cancel it. Any insight much appreciated.

Thanks, Jim

Which source are you using, when you try to group them?

Have tried both tunein and music from my local DLNA server. Neither work. All software is up to date. Have loaded newest versions of the beomusic app as well. Thanks for helping.

Is the join setup set to the multi-room experience in both A6?

Start the Beosetup app; settings; beolink; join setup

try on your iDevice:

completely stop the Beomusic app; double press home, etc.........

goto Settings; Beomusic; Clear product cache; set to ON

restart Beomusic app

Just a test.

Start one A6 with your music file

goto the other; tap the middle button (center of volume control); this A6 will start; re-tap until your music file is audible. Then you are sure the multiroom feature is working and it is something with the Beomusic app/iDevice.

I'm sorry neither work. Tapping the center does not bring up the same music it starts whatever was last played on the 2nd speaker.

if you tap once the center button the last source starts. What is you tap this button a second time? What if you tap it a third time.....and so on.

Do you hear different sources with every tap on this button? Is after several times one of the sources the music file playing on your other A6?

if this still does not work: unplug both A6 from the main. Wait a minute and re-plug both.

Note Jim that this is done on the A6 not on the app!

Sorry got very caught up in staring at the app and later realized you were referencing the speaker itself. Also my Ipad seems to want to post my messages over and over. Sorry about that.

OK - I did what you suggested but not sure why tapping through the sources would link music? It did not, although it does run through tunein, spotify, bluetooth etc. Never links to what is playing on the other A6. Also am emailing with a B&O service technician want this may be the extender on my wifi system which I will check when home again.

Thanks again for your continued help.

than you should automatically activate the JOIN function on a certain moment. That means that the A6 will join the other.

So my conclusion for the moment: the multiroom does not work on the A6ses. The Beomusic app seems not involved in the cause.

Some steps to do/control:

1. take the system from the mains; after 1 min re-plug again

2. check the set up of both A6ses (Beosetup app); uncheck en check the "join setup" as described before

3. your network

Thanks again for all your help.

Have done all the above you suggested and resetting the speakers and removing my extender from the network and no change at all. Have sent logs in to beoplay service for them o review to see if they can figure it out.

Again appreciate your help.
