I have a Beolab 3500 that I bought used a couple of years ago, which is connected via ML to my BV10. Ever since I bought it, the BL3500 has produced a high pitched whine. This sound is not super strong, but is quite noticeable when playing, say, classical music without a lot of bass. The whine develops over the course of 10-15 minutes. It goes away if I turn the BL off and then on again, but comes back after another 10-15 minutes as if there is some slow capacitive charging effect. The ML cable is about 35 feet long and has an ML junction box roughly at the middle. Is there an obvious way to eliminate this high pitched whine?
Thanks,
bab
I would redo the junction box connection.

First step I would do is testing the Masterlink.
Select Test mode 02 by pressing MENU 02 GO.
If ML is working properly display reads ML OK.
Next step try Test mode 03. This mode will open directly ML signal path.
Press MENU 03 GO. This should work without Beolink connected.
If the high pitch sound still appears, it indicates, that your BL3500 does cause the fault and not the ML system.
It is also possible to calibrate the speakers in test mode 01. Press MENU.....
But I doubt, that speaker calibration will help....(?)
