Hi, sorry if this has been discussed already before, but I couls not find it.
I have an airport express connected to the tape source of my beomaster 5500. Now I always have to manually switch on the BM by pressing the tape or a.tape on the remote. Is it possible to automatically switch on the beomaster 5500's tape source when the airport outputs a signal? Maybe a cabke with a minijack and some power on one end, and the datalink cabk on the other?
Thank you!

Hi, I dont think so, I have similar connected to BM6500 - you would need some sort of auto sense on a signal from the AE to then simulate the a.tape command on the DIN plug going into the beomaster tape socket
Thanks for your input. I was afraid that was the case. I assume this kind of cable does not work because there needs to be a signal, and not just power: http://soundsheavenly.com/input/75--trigger-beolink-trs-.html?search_query=power&results=78?
If so, do you think it is possible to take the datalink module from a (broken) tape deck and hack it in such a way that it works? Or possibly mimic that command with my lintronic box?
