I have a 1999 Beocom 6000 system with the original pyramid base. I have 5 handsets working perfectly on it.
I recently acquired a second hand Beocom 5 handset, which I had understood to be compatible, but which will not pair with the base station.
When I switch it on, it asks to
"register handset to base?"
I press the button on the base station, and the Beocom 5 handset can see it - it says
"base station found"
and the base station number appears on the display. I click 'OK' to register it, and the screen then displays
"Registering Wait...."
That's as far as it gets. Any ideas?
Do the other handsets work, i.e. green lights and dial tones? Or are all handsets including new one flashing red lights?
B&O products are V1-32, BS2, H95, E8 and an Essence remote.11-46 now replaced with Sony A90J 65”, Sony HT-A9, Sony UBP-X800M2 and Sony SRS-NS7.
Thanks - all other handsets working fine
Hey,
I had likewise problem with a ptsn base and 4 beocom2 (mk1) and 2 beocom5, when trying to add the last beocom5. Kept, "saying registering wait". The solution was as simple as it is stupid but very unknown: i just had to,reset the pin code to 0000 (in stead of personal pin code) then add the oldest sw version first.
good luck
Well that is bizarre - but effective! Thank you so much.
