Hey Guys,
I have a quick query for you, I have recently upgraded my ATV1 to an ATV3 and have it connected straight into my BV7 by HDMI at first it worked no problem but I went to watch a trailer at the weekend and now when ever I try to watch any video content I get the message "This content requires HDCP for playback. HDCP isn't supported by your HDMI connection."
There are quite a few suggestions on various Apple forums, but the BV7 is a very different beast to a normal TV so these suggestions don't seem to work. I think the problem came because the ATV goes to sleep and doesn't wake up when the TV is turned on, but I have now disabled this function and still have the same problem.
I have gone into the BV7 service menu and it states that HDCP is off, so it appears that the ATV is not outputting the HDCP.
Does anyone have any thoughts on how to fix this?
fishta,
i think you have connected the apple tv when the beovision 7 was powered up of in standby.
disconnect the power of the beovision 7 and apple tv. then reconnect power of apple tv and beovision 7 and he problem should be solved.
I tried doing it with both TV on and off. I will try powering it all down tonight at the mains.
Thanks
OK I have now tried all sorts of powering on and off and still nothing. I took the apple tv connected it to my Samsung and it worked perfectly. I then got another atv3 brand new out of its box and plugged it into the bv7and I got the same HDCP error. Could my TV need a software update? It is on H8 9.01
