I am gearing up to making my own Beo5 replacement battery. I got the batteries and would like to solder a new (?) jst-3pin connector, rather than using the old one. Does anyone know if this is the right connector and which size it is. I have not (yet) opened the remote, but have read all the blogs/forums and ordered the batteries from Germany, as I have trouble finding those here in the US. Any info is appreciated. Thx in advance
Hi,
I orderd the batteries from the shop mentioned in the second post (TWG replied on 10-27-2015 7:45 AM ):

But this batteries are to thick and don't fit the housing of my Beo6.
So I bought an original Accu-pack an changet it.
You can see how you can change the battery. Just click the Link below.

That's interesting: Does the Beo 6 have a different housing than the 5?
Hm...I think not. But maybe they cheanged the production?
I ordered the batteries in may this year.
How did it go , changing the battery. I have tried to do the same without success.
It worked just fine. The main issue was de- and re-soldering the terminals. The replacement battery is still going strong.
