Hi everyone,

New to the forum and was hoping to gain some understanding of a problem from some more experienced listeners.

So I have recently added a second set of speakers to my bombaster 5000, for the first few days the system had been working perfectly however... when turning the volume over 3:6 the system will turn itself back automatically. I have tired going back to just one set of speakers and the same problem occurs.

When I changed the cables around I noticed the back of the beomaster was quite hot, Im not sure if this is related.

If anyone could help me identify this problem I would be extremely grateful.

The System is set up with:

Beomaster 5000, Beogram 5005, Beocord 5000, RL60 Speakers, C35 Speakers.

Thanks,

Jon

You will need to replace the idle current trimpots most likely. Especially if they are the originals. Common problem with the Beoblaster 5000 when they get older.

i would suggest verifying that the fan is turning on.  I had this problem.  The idle trim pot issue normally causes the unit to turn off after a few seconds. The thermal protection would shut it off when it was too hot.

good luck!
