Hi,

recently my Beovox 5000 flat panel speakers have developed a loud electronic popping sound. Not very often maybe once or twice in 2-3 hours of listening. Its noticeable enough that it makes you cringe when it happens.

They run off a Beomaster 8000 and via a Cona, the Cona is the only new addition to the system recently. Currently just using ipod/iphone as Cd broken. Makes sound with both inputs.

Thanks in advance,

Martin

The popping sound is played by the speakers but they are not the cause. The Beomaster 8000 is.
Most likely a noisy OpAmp in the tonecontrol area.
