Could someone explain how I hook up a Beecord 3500  tape deck to a regular stereo so that I can record and play back the tape deck on the system - I see 5 pin din female to 2 rca but I think I would need 4 rca, two for play output and two for record input back to the din plug. The tape deck has a cable attached terminating in a male 7 pin din.

Thank you

Usually you should be able to unscrew the 2 extra pins, then you have to use the 4 cable adapter just the way you explained.

Hi,

Pin 6 and 7, those are the beginning and the end of the round line formed by all the pins.

There are only 2 pins with a slot to use a flat (small) screwdriver
