Finally got a A9 2nd gen, man is it loud. But does it turn off? When I press power button once the white light blinks next to button but the light next to Bluetooth button stays white and speaker stays on. When I hold down power button same thing happens. Only way to turn it off is to unplug. I'm obviously missing something? On my beolit 15 it makes a noise when it turns off and all lights go dark.
Hi
Nice to hear that you are enjoying your a9 mk 2.
It does turn off
There are 2 lights on the back: on the left hand side the stand by and on the right hand side network light.
If you press the stand by button once it will put the unit in stand by and the network light remains on - this is so you can wake the device up and its ready to go.
If you hold the stand by button it shuts off all other products in a multi room set up
If you hold the network button down it enabled the bluetooth function and vice versa.
If you want to shut the a9 off completely there is an on off switch in the connections hub.
I thought when i first got it that i would want to shut it off all the time but i just put it in to stand by so when i wake it starts up in like 1 second.

(My Beo Century has been on or on standby since I bought it in the late nineties!)
according to the Beoplay website the A9 uses
Typical 23 watts
Standby 0.4 watts
so , why switch it off ?

he probably wants to switch it off so there are no lights
There are a lot of people that say for example when there is a device in your bedroom you dont want any lights because the smallest light keeps them awake.
Nothing that a stiff scotch wont fix! :-)
