Wanted to share how terrific the company has been in solving a problem I had with pairing A6 speakers. After contacting the company about the problem I had technicians from both Denmark and the US working collaboratively to solve it. There were many email phone/exchanges as they systematically went though troubleshooting. Uploading logs, reports and videos I shot of the problem. They persevered and after exhausting all solutions finally offered to send a technician to my home which led to the solution.

I must say their service for my small problem was so impressive!!!

Nice to hear that it finally got solved.

Could you share how it was solved - might interest one or another 'multiroom' user?

Absolutely. It was my modem/router Zyxel PK5001Z. The router was unable to handle the demands needed for pairing. And to add, while this was a theory they had very early on, there was enough evidence to question it. So instead of sending me off to get a new router they went exhaustively through other possible problems and solutions. Apple Express router was what was installed.

The Zyxel PK5001Z is requiring to set up manually some rules and port forwarding. Cheap solution replacing this with an AE...

Sorry my error not quite as cheap it's the Apple Extreme router.  Still glad to have a solution.

Thanks for telling the details.

This is an important theme, since quite a few NL-users have trouble with their network connections.

User experiences are important.

Several years I had an old(er) Linksys router...and no problems - then changed to a newer Fritzbox (because I got a faster internet connection).... and stil have no problems.

Generally - if you aren't able yourself or have 'friends' to manage the settings of your router - it will be the easiest solution just to change to a known-working router.

It is very strange as Zyxel are one of the best router brands on the market according to a pal who fits them. We have one for our fibre optic broadband and no problems apart from Apple Home Sharing which is hit and miss but always has been. Sometimes connects in 5 seconds, other times nothing!  Haven't tried Airplay on the A8 with it as I haven't used it yet this year.

FWIW AirPlay did work with the Zyxel. That was one of the reasons the techs kept looking before going to a new router for a solution.
