Dear Moment users:
Did you notice any gaps during track playback while playing albums?
Here is my experience: When I play an album from my QNAP/Twonky NAS servers, starting at the second track, I face a playback gap after around 20", independently of the file type (AAC or ALAC), even after a Twonky server restart or a Moment off/on.
This does not happen with Deezer albums nor when playing from the MoodWheel
BS Moment, BS Core, BG 4002, BC 4500, BS1, BL18, BL19, BL8000 + RCV1, A6, M5, M3, A1, P6 (tks Botty), H5, TR1
Not quite sure, what you mean with 'a playback gap after around 20"'?
That seems more like a 'buffering' issue, than a 'gapless play' issue?
In general - playing from your NAS is DLNA - and DLNA does not natively support gapless playback.
Streaming (from a music service like Deezer or Spotify) uses another protocol and is practically gapless.
One of the reasons, why I prefer streaming services ;-))

There is a tv - and there is a BV
Are you referring to half a sec of pause/jump in the playback, it does happen to my system as well and I have the same setup as you do. It does not happen all the time but I am quite sure for my case it happen during using moodwheel,

Hi mbolo01
I suppose there is not much traffic at the time of the event? No...
You can't compare your fault with mine I had this morning. This morning there was a sudden loose of music immediatly following with a disconnect/connect of IP-address to the Moment, it happens somewhere in the middle of a playlist just about when the Moments would start a new track.
First serious disconnect after last weeks update, there was no traffic, not a clearing of the DHCP lease... Immediate checking all logs on router, AP's and server showed me ... nothing suspicious! But it was a serious incident, something just kicked the Moment out of the network.
I found a problem on the ML/NL converter, so it looks my cause was coming from the ML/NL converter who suddenly shuts down the Moment without any reason, nobody touched anything!
Extract of the log when it happened:
Mar 15 10:01:25 (none) fpsd: GST.salsautilsink: ALSA wait error, -32 [gstsalsautilsink.c:436, 3101.473]
Mar 15 10:01:25 (none) syslog-ng[541]: Last message 'fpsd: GST.salsau' repeated 2 times
Mar 15 10:01:25 (none) fpsd: GST.salsautilsink: Retrys did not help, bailing out [gstsalsautilsink.c:487, 3101.473

dreammer:Are you referring to half a sec of pause/jump in the playback
Exactely, this is what I called a playback gap, e.g.:
Track 1 starts .......Track 1 stops <normal gap > Track 2 starts ..... 20" < 1/2 sec gap or pause > ........Track 2 stops <normal gap> Track 3 starts ...... 20" < 1/2 sec gap or pause > ..... Track 3 stops ..... etc
So we are two! Not in the same context unfortunately, but I'll pay attention while playing from the MoodWheel
I notice it way before the last SW update. It only happen some time. If it happens most of the tracks will be affected. Dun think its a network issue, most of the time when I am listening to music at night only the NAS and Moment is active on the network, most of the other equipment is either off or standby. Think its more of the buffering problem on the Moment.

I agree on all points, exact same experience
