Hello everybody,

I'm trying to dismantel my Beosound 9000 following the instructions in the manual. However, I can't seem to get the sledge off. I have removed the three screws and loosened the two flat cables. However, only the left side of the sledge seems to be completely loose. I can move it on the right side too, but something seems to hold it still back. I can't see what it is. How do you do that? I don't want to break or damage anything...

Problem I want to solve is that the Beosound 9000 automatically goes to standby after a couple of seconds when playing CDs. I have the laser under suspect but am also grateful for other hints.

Greetings,

Kai

Hi kai,

Here some pictures.

You have to press with a small screwdriver at point B downwards, while after that you try to slide the upper part upwards.

At point A there is (normally) a smal plastic piece which locks both upper and lower part together.

This is what you get after releasing the upper clamper part.

The red arrow points the place (hole) where the plastic part locks.

Great thanks. Could have tried for a long time. Will do that later in the evening. Haven't read anything like this in the service manual. Thanks a lot! Kai

Worked perfectly.

I've tried running test mode 61 now. I hear a buzzing sound and then again the Beosound goes to standby after a couple of seconds. Any ideas what the cause could be? Next step would be to replace the CD mechanism. I'm just irritated because the Beosound did grab and spin CDs without a problem. Maybe the lens is not moving...

Greetings,

Kai
