I see a new training video has been posted regarding the BL90 room calibration

For a speaker costing that amount of money, this is insanely complicated !!!
Should just be via a wireless microphone, nothing else..

The speaker would have all the necessary software / hardware built in. For a speaker at this price point, I was surprised at the complexity of the room calibration process as well. Though, since these speakers wouldn't be moved often after set up, if at all. The room calibration as a one time event makes sense (hence, okay for it to be this complex).

Maybe the room and furniture might change over time, then it would be cool to just pull out the included microphone and press "calibrate"
I have seen surround receivers 10 years ago with this functionality .. Although wired microphone..

The system comes with a "welcome pack" which is a shorter version of the microphone in the video. It plugs into an RJ45 socket on the master speaker. I'm guessing you can add further calibration data (up to 20) with that and add these settings to either the speaker groups in a bv or to the app that will shortly come with it.

My BL90s did not come with that welcome pack? No microphone etc?

That’s because you have to part with another £40-odd quid if you want the official mic. Unbelievable.
However, the installers will calibrate it with their gear as a one-off I believe?
I suppose if you don’t plan moving or doing recalls yourself it’s ok?
I purchased mine but I also received a FOC service skate kit (£360)
I'm confused as to how plugging a microphone into one speaker, activating the caibration in the app, then moving the microphone and repeating the process twice more is "insanely complicated"? Frankly I found the hardest bit was trying not to sneeze during the calibration!
Unlike all those A/V receivers in the past where the processs generally involves running the calibration, then going round all the channels and correcting them, as the auto settings it chose are so far out that it sounds terrible.
