Please help having problems with the following any ideas.

Beovision 7 connected to Pentas, masterlink from tv to converter box, lead from converter box to beomaster 7000 amp

set up

a opt to 2

v opt to 0

Problem - Speakers keep switching off when trying to use 7000

If we keep tv on then using beo4 - av - go - cd cd plays through speakers but as soon as you switch tv off speakers go off

What can we try?

Thanks for looking

Hi

I Have the same setup. if the speakers are connected to the television you need V.opt  2 and A.opt 0 instead of V.opt 0 and A.opt  2.

Sorry our mistake yes the V.opt is set to 2 and the A.opt is set to 0,  Do you use a converter box also?  What other settings can we check?  Thanks in anticipation.  Its just the problem listening to the sound without having the TV on!!!

Hi Joman,

You shouldn't need to turn the BeoVision 7 off when listening to music - it should stay on, but without a picture on the screen.

Try just pressing 'CD'. The LCD display on the BeoVision 7 should read 'CD 1' for track one and music should play through the Pentas (and any other speakers attached to the BeoVision 7).

Your BeoVision 7 is in control of the BeoSystem 7000 remember - so switching it off switches EVERYTHING off - including the speakers connected to it!

Hope this helps!

Hi Thanks for the update, pressed cd and the TV shows CD1 in the display, pentas show CD1, 7000 lit up ready to play but no sound, penta speakers at bottom still on red.  We have something wrong with the system switching the speakers on.  What have we done wrong?

Try a powerlink connection from BM7000 to 1611 converter PL socket. Should turn ón the Pentas... Stefan

Very odd that the Pentas display 'CD 1' but are not actually operational (i.e. with a green light in the amplifier). That shouldn't happen and doesn't make sense!

Are they both switched to left and right and for 'video' use underneath?

How did you connect the BM7000 to the T1611? Did you use a Powerlink and a Datalink cable? Both should be used.

V.Opt = 2; A.Opt=0 as discussed.

Make all connections (PL, DL, ML) before connecting the mains to BV7, BM7000 & T1611!

Powerlink lead arrived this morning.  have tried it out still no power to the pentas when selecting cd but have the green readout.  Can you tell us what wires should be going where from the speakers to the BV7 converter box etc?  Thanks

Hi Cracked it checked back through all the settings found that a speaker setting was incorrect.  Penta was listed in centre and front.  Removed Penta from front everything works ok now.  Thanks everyone for all your help.
