Hello every one. This is my first post as I am a new member here on Beoworld. I have this week become a proud owner of the white beosystem 6500 and a lovely pair of cx100. I have yet to see if the 6500 works as I need to get EU to UK plug addapters. no idea what fuse to get ??

I also managed to get hold of the Beotime digital alarm clock the flute type . My question is as I have bought it spare or repair is there any where were I can get it  looked at or fixed.

One more thing I am hooked,  hook line and sinker with B&O so If some one can shed some light on this beotime and if anyone can say hello it would for sure be appreciated.

Cheers Gary.

I warmly welcome you to BeoWorld and the community!

The 6500 is a great system. B&O has great service technicians. If you contact your local B&O dealer, they can refer you to one close to you. It's good to build a great relationship with your service technician. With a  good service technician, you can have many years of life left in your older products. B&O products are built to last!

The BeoTime has great functionality. You can download the manual on the B&O website under "customer service." The BeoTime is not just a regular alarm. It can be programmed to also activate many sources on your BeoSystem 6500. It can also be used as a sleep timer to turn off your system after a specified period of time. You can also use it for basic remote control functions on your B&O system.

If you add B&O-controllable lighting, the BeoTime can also gradually turn on the lights in the morning for a very natural-feeling wake-up! You can also use the sleep timer to turn off the lights at a specified time at night.

Now that you've caught the "BeoBug," you'll soon want to add link speakers in link rooms to expand your system throughout your home.

Many thanks for your kind words Jeff, I have today for the first time plugged the 6500 in and powered up the system, sadly the tape player will not open, I have looked at the bottom of the unit and there are no transport locks. I am stumped??

best regards Gary.

Regarding your 6500. If it has EU plugs, you can simply cut them of and mount the UK plugs. EU and UK run on the same voltage.

Regarding your BeoTime: What is the problem with it?

I just repaired one, and the problem was no connection with the batteries and corrosion.

It is pretty straight forward to disasemble it, and if you have basic soldering skills, you can repair it without problem.

If there is something wron with the unit itself you are out of luck. The whole internal piece will need to be replaced.
