Latest from Bloomberg. Sparkle Roll in discussions. SR are B&O's distributor in China and aren't (as far as I can see) a manufacturer of anything.

I think the question is more like, "will anything not be Chinese-owned in the near future?"

We might all need to start brushing up on our Mandarin and Cantonese!

Problem is not who is making but who is buying....or not

In such situations I look at Volvo and say that's worked out as a positive.... Good parents can bring out the best...

we tend to forget there is more to design than designing.

I simply do not understand this decision other than an act of desperation.

Sparkle Roll has absolutely nothing to offer - they are the distributors of luxury good items - cars, watches, wines and cigars in China.

They have no expertise and they have clearly stated that they only would buy if the price was low and right.

They offer no expertise or track record and if I read their financial statement correctly they do not make a lot more revenue than B&O.

So this is a situation where David is buying David - what a strange move and I truly am concerned where this going to take Bang and Olufsen.

Bang & Olufsen Australia was purchased by a watch dealer... LK Boutique, a luxury goods distributor/store.

Apparently its doing well.

Would love to see the actual figures to see how they are doing.

Would be a good comparison to theprevious B&O manged dealership.
