I'm working on my Beovox MS150.2. I recieved the rubber rings for the drivers yesterday, and I will be done with refurbing the crossovers (With a Dillen cap kit) and the "rerubbering" tomorrow. I will post some pictures later.

I am not shimming, as I don't find it necessary with these drivers. Besides that I can't make myself cut in the dustcaps - I'm going for originality and perfect cosmetic condition, and IMO it is ruining the drivers looks, if you start to cut in them. I use about half an our, at least, to center the cones and make sure, that they are as centered as they can be, and I am not gluing, until I'm 100% satisfied - I'm a perfectionist. And this pair of Beovox MS150.2 are not my first pair, that I have "rerubbered" with great success.
I can post some pictures of the last rerubbering progress later. 2 of the drivers are 100% done, but I still need to glue the rings to the baskets on the last 2 drivers.
Wow, now that is a cache of cubes. Will you be looking to sell any of them when you are done?

Leslie: pacificocean: Leslie where did you get the stripes from for the redlines? The "stripes" are satin ribbon 7mm which can be bought in every (sorry, Dutch word) "fournituren" shop.I just bought these satin ribbons on Ebay . Let's wait how they will look like.

I'm gonna have to try that one. Like the idea of having a choice of colour instead of being stuck with light gray. Although I must confess I find the red strap looks kind of ugly.
Anyone got a good idea on how to properly attach some new lettering? I guess using a Dymo label writer with translucent tape and red ink will just look sloppy.

For satin fabric you should look around for T shirt printers or printers where they make text bands for funerals.
Regards to the queen and 100% approval on the cycling but how did you do the keys on the 6000 ?
The 6000 quad ! the big bit you use the remote on. :-)
Wow the 6000 looks good. I would be very tempted to remove the key clamps behind the keys then straighten the keys out - it sounds scary but can be done without damage and the glue on the clamps will be weak anyway. If you straighten the keys you can get a dead flat result and it makes all the difference in the world!!!

So did you carefully sand the old finish and fingerprints with the sanding block, then rub it out with some acetone?
I guess flexible sanding block is the right word...I've used them too -though mine looked a bit different.

It seems that not all those keys were varnished. The metal on my Beogram 4002 and my Beocord 5000 looks bare. An impression due to little use?

Yes stunning Jacques something I will try with mine! But I would ask Leslie to try to straighten those keys! It really makes a huge difference when they are straight!!!
