I am inexperienced with B&O and electronics. I was just given this turntable (beogram RX-2)  tried to connect the turntable to my Onkyo TX-SR 607 receiver but connected it through the aux connection in the front of my receiver (the red, yellow, white connection).  The turntable has only a white and gray plug connection coming from the rear of the unit and this is confusing. Remember I am ignorrant at this stuff. Now to my questions. The turntable played but the music volume level was very low and so I had to turn the volume up very high to appreciate the music (not good)  plus the music was not rich as I expected it to be.  Why is this happening and please help if you understand my rambling on.  Thank you for your time.  Brian

You will have to connect to your 607 with a preamplifier, the RX2 does not have one, and I dont think the 607 has one either, check for phono input on the backside

Collecting Vintage B&O is not a hobby, its a lifestyle.

Just as thought, the 607 has no phono input, so you will need a preamp

So you will need something like this, (search for Phono preamp)

And connect like this
