Hello all,

I have mostly everything working on my BeoMaster 8000 system -- but the remote stopped functioning.

In fact while fixing the daughter card switches (filters, monitor etc), I had incorrectly plugged in the volume control connector and use the remote control to change to volume, select inputs, etc.

Now that I have everything fixed, the remote control stopped working.  I put in a brand new 9V battery just in case.

In terms of troubleshooting the remote, is it possible there is a connector that came loose for this part of the circuit?

Many thanks in advance.

Jake

Probably something silly, check the little receiver hasn't popped out of its holder would be a good start, or that nothing obstructing it. Then carefully go over all the connectors to make sure they in the right sockets and have good contact, even if you think they are now do it again!
You could also put the remote in front of video camera / phone to make sure it emitting something!

The video camera idea confirmed the remote is working.  Thanks for the suggestion, Keith.

Now I got to take the BeoMaster apart again.

I am getting pretty good at this.  Cool
