Hi I've just bought a Beotime 1 wall clock.  The owner tells me it was bought in America 20 years ago.  It has a Bang Olufsen shield near the middle .  Is this any good?

If if you like the look of it and it tells the time accurately, that is good.

There was another one last week that was also bought in the USA 20 years ago!

It was a turntable turned into a clock.

Beosound Stage, Beovision 8-40, Beolit 20, Beosound Explore.

Apparently it was bought in the Manhatten B&O store.  They had 12 of them on the wall telling various times around the World.

I suggest you contact B&O directly and ask if this was ever made Smile

"You think we can slap some oak on this thing?"

That's not an official BeoTime, I'm 99.9999% certain.

Not awful looking though!

Lee,  I agree because I owned 2 Beo Time  clocks that were purchased from a B&O store.  I am 100 percent certain.  I really liked the clocks but my wife didn't like the clicking noise.

It looks great though and the platter looks genuine - although perhaps the platters on the genuine ones were from the 4000 series?

So long as you didn't pay over the odds then I would be very happy with it - They are very easy to make as the mechanisms can be had a for less than £10 - I bought one with a sweeping movement to repair an old starburst clock that I bought at a car boot sale.
