Hi all,

As stated in my title I am thinking of changing to a 40" version of my 7-32 mine is a mk1 model!

Does anyone think i would notice any benefits if i get a mk2 version of the 7-40?  This is in my budget, as the mk3 is vastly more due to having the built in bs3!

Let me know what you think guys?

Cheers Nick

One benefit you would notice... about 8 inches!

Hi, I think the bv7 is fantastic bit of kit and it was the software issues that put me off. If the mk 2 is all your budget will cover I would get it as you can always trade the panels up later.

Thats the plan I would love the mk3 as its full hd and hdmi.  I love the design of the set and my 32 seems small by todays standards

Hi there

I love the BV7

i have the same stand and now am on the MK4.

I tend to upgrade just the panel every 2nd/3rd revision to save money and keep up to date.

MK2 does give advantages over the 32" but from memory i cannot remember what they are.

I know the MK5 has the 100Hz screen and MK6 has 3D

i cannot even remember why i moved to the MK4 i think it was for bluray and something else

I would think the biggest benefit would be the 8". IMHO, as a living room TV a 32" is by todays standards very small.

BS3 would probably be nice, but if it's out of your budget, I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Too long to list....

Which way would you connect the hd signal, seeing as i can't use hdmi?

IIRC i had to use a HDMi to DVI cable on the MK2 i had as it had no HDMI but did support HD via DVI.

yeah that was why i moved to the MK4 for HDMI
