Just got my A1. Absolutely love it :) I had a Bose SoundLink before and this is miles better, and I paid even more for the Bose Soundlink, this was almost 5 years ago!

Nice and punchy, clarity is amazing. Mids clear and powerful. In-built mic. Great battery life. All round great speaker.

It just turns off automatically after a while if no sound is played

If anyone wants to do their bit in spreading the word of how good the A1 is - I suggest getting one for work! Not a single person in the office hasn't commented on how impressive it is! Works so so well as a video conference mic and speaker.

The A1 is a MASSIVE hit at my grandmothers 80th birthday!!!

Four people have asked me to get them one out of the 30 guests that remembered to bring their hearing aids Big Smile

I noticed that when I switch on my A1 (fully charged) and immediately after when I check in the BeoPlay App or on my iPhone (on the top, the small bluetooth indicator for connected devices with power gauge), it indicates me for 30 seconds that it is only 70 charged and only after the gauge becomes full (in 2 steps)... Is it a defect on mine or is it the same for all? For my Beloit 15 it is immediately full in the BeoPlay App (and no indicator gauge on the iPhone). Thanks for checking.

The same happens to me Smile

I wish they made a pale blue one. I believe they will introduce a range of colors since it is so popular, but I don't want to wait either. Gah :)

Never understood why Volvo did not team with B&O

You're right Simon - Look at that ugly dashboard with an iPad lookalike stuck on it. Thats not nice. Never been a fan of Volvo.

I'm with you on that one Michael! It'll be great to see what colours they bring to it. I really hope that there is a good choice with a range of interesting colour options :)

Hi all, I've got a second A1 for the office and had a quick go at linking the two up for stereo. Not great so far. I had to connect each to my phone (I think) in order to pair on the BeoPlay App, which worked eventually. Now I have join one of them from the Macmini and it see,s very very glitchy. Keeps dropping out from one speaker. Anyone got any suggestions?

Leosgonewild - You were asking about its water resistant qualities. Here's a brand new video which shows the A1 covered in water. Great camera work too on this...

Thanks for the info, was considering a second A1 as well but if it appears to be buggy getting to play them in stereopair i will reconsider. If you do have it working, how is the A1 sound in stereo? Thanks!

@Leo it's great isn't it! I love the backdrop and lighting. Nicely done video! And we nearly 9K views in less than 3 days, it's spreading the vibe!

That's some pretty heavy duty water testing for a product that is only claiming to be splash resistant. Good stuff.

I have two of them. Have only used stereo pairing indoors and on the balcony. Sound is very good.

Some sound issues when the phone gets to close to the speaker that is acting as slave.

I changed my A2 for the A1 combo because I can always keep a A1 in my bag without noticing it to much. The A2 was a bit big to keep in my bag at all times. Now I can just drop in the extra A1 if I know I will need more sound.

Been watching much Netflix on my iPad the last days, and having the A1 behind the iPad really gives a nice experience.

The A1 was also a big hit in my grandmothers 80th birthday (as I told in the flash tread)

One of my A1's has a hole that is not perfectly drilled. When I run my fingers over it I can feel it right away, and I can see it pretty good. Guess I can just peel it with a aluminum grinder.

I guess it just comes down to negotiating terms. There are a few people offering in car systems. I have to say that the Harman Kardon system in my new BMW 435 is not as good as the B&O in my previous Audi A5.

Could be a way to recognize which one is master and which is the slave ;-))

Duels, that's really sad about the 435 Harma. Have you played around with the tone controls? I'm really surprised as I had the HK in my MINI Coopers since 2005 and I thought that they were truly amazing sounding - I preferred them to my B&O system that I had in my A3 Sedan.

Hi Paul, It's not too sad. The car is fabulous overall and the sound is still very good. Just not quite as good as the A5. It might just be personal preference but the B&O sound was brighter and punchier which is how I like it.

But yes, I have played around with the tone controls.

I keep getting chosen for "random checks" at the airports. The A1 does resemble a land mine Devil

Oh Leo - haha damn :) I hope that the A1 is a best seller this Christmas. It'll be interesting to see what new colours are available. It's the perfect music system for students starting university this September too! I hope that the travel magazines pick this up - I haven't yet seen it mentioned in Conde Nast Traveller, GQ or Elle Decoration/Living Etc magazines which are perfect target markets for it.

Duels - that's a shame - same here, I like a real bright sound. I found the 'Electronic' setting seemed to work best for the HK systems along with the bass & treble pushed up.

Not found any settings for different genres of music.  The system may well be different between the mini and 4 series of course.  Or maybe I need to look harder.............

Just got mine. Nicely packaged and feels like a B&O product.

Sounds fantastic, although placement has a big effect on bass.

Why the USB- C type recharging cable?????

Nice one Chris. USB-C is the way forward. It's a clever lil plug that does so much, so B&O is being forward thinking here man! My MacBook Retina has one & next months MacBook Pro range will of course. USB is soooooo 1998 Chris :) :) :)
