Hello,

I know very little about the tech side of things. But I have a pair of BeoLink 4000 speakers which have died. the local BnO store quoted £700 to repair by replacing amplifiers and dampners. Does anyone know if this repair could be done by non BnO technicians? and if so know of a UK service?

thanks

A used set will set you back around 350£.

I would recommend that you buy a used pair in the same color as you have, and keep your old as spare parts.

You should try to change the fuse before buying tho. Maybe some other member can explain how you do it Smile

Handsome Leo is right.

Waste of time fixing unless they're sentimental.

False economy....

Real technicians look for the real fault. A well known fault is corrosion caused by the damping-foam inside. So the relay might not come on and that make you think, that the amplifier has died.
