Hi,

Is it possible to reset the BeoCom 2? Mine displays discontinuously 3:24" and it doesn't work anymore. Pressing any button does not produce anything. Thanks.

To access the service menu press

9 # 9 # 9 * INT

If you can access this menu you can perform a factory reset.

Regards

I wish to report that there are conditions where a Reset from the Service Menu does *not* clear the Beocom 2's wedged-ness.  This evening my phone was stuck displaying "Alert - View?" and no amount of fiddling with the keypad would clear that display.  It made calls etc. but the display was apparently stuck.  Entering the service menu and choosing the correct item (follow along the menu with a working phone!) did reset the phone but went right back to the same display.  I pulled the battery, then powered it up (and re-registered to the base), and that fixed it.  (Alas, I went straight for the full power-fail instead of trying the other obvious step, namely holding down the On button until the phone powered itself off.  Next time...)  Anyway, just wanted to report it for future search'ers: That "Reset" menu item doesn't really do a hard boot.
