hello again,

I just received an RX2 from my father in law and it appears for some reason he rinsed off the platter before boxing it up.........  so now there are what look like runs and spots stained on the platter surface.

the spots are a chalky white and will not wipe off but i can get a tiny bit off with my finger nail.  i tried rubbing alcohol in one spot and it seemed to make it worse Sad

does anyone know how i can clean this off without damaging the rubber inserts?  i think a fine 0000 steel wool should work, but that will be very tedious working around the rubber.

i would appreciate any advise.

NEVER use steelwool, alcohol or solvents on B&O platters.
Spit on your finger, rub gently on the platter and wipe off fast.

I have used Mr. Clean Magic eraser with good results, cut of a piece 1" x 2", ad a little water to the piece, just humid, clean a small section and rub dry with a microfiber cloth.

Collecting Vintage B&O is not a hobby, its a lifestyle.
