Hi I have recently purchased a second hand beosound 4 and am having a problem with the volume . The unit seems to be stuck on very low volume and wont adjust manually and remote control is unresponsive. I have tried to access the sound menu but this menu seems to be locked or not working .Any help would be very much appreciated

Thanks

Scott

I have exactly the same problem, any help would be appreciated. My unit also does not recognize either the beo4 remote nor the older remotes, is there a way to factory reset and see if that works?

Sounds to me the beosound 4 has been programmed to option which mean it won't respond to the the remote, if you have beo4 press list and the red stand by button together, you should then see vopt or apot on the screen press list button you want apot, when you see this flashing on the screen point remote at the beosound 4 (make sure it's in stand by) and press 1 beosound 4 red light will blink remote should now work

Dear Kai,

I switched off the beosound 4 as well as the MCL2P at the wall switch, and switched it on again, then the remote responded, so I set the mode to 1 i.s.o. of 0 the previous owner had it on, and it works 100% now. Thank you for your assistance, most appreciated.

Regards

Leo
