I have just been to my grandparents who have still got a house full of crt beovisions.

I was watching the golf on their lounge black 32 avant dvd,and have got to say ,the picture is still awesome, and it had me missing mine, its still a stunning tv paired with lab 8000s.I was then in the kitchen were they have a mx4200 and the picture again was fantastic and so matural much better than my beocenter 6.

The avant was a complete package, easy to use, fantastic design, picture and sound.Love the floating screen, much different in its time to the sonys, panys etc. Then you look at the beoplay v1 which has got fantastic modern technology ,but looks cheap in my opinion and looks like every other tv loewe connect from a few years ago.I personally like b&O tvs on motorised stands like bv10,bv5 etc as they look unique beovsions 4,6,7 etc on the wall look like any other tv on the market.

the quality and design in the beovsion 1 from years ago is much better than the v1.I know it was old fashioned being a 4;3 screen but the design and placements were fantastic and it had the floating glass screen like the avant.I know its hard making a flatscreen look different and sound good, but I think B&O are going backwards at times especially with their tvs.bv5 and 9 were so different then any other plasma at the time, and have to admit I still love plasma over led, lcd, but thats me.

i just received new tweeters for my Avant and by god am i excited to be able to listen to the amazing sound it produces. I was given it as a christmas present last year and by far is it the best TV i have ever owned. if i had the money and were to go out and buy a BV7 i would miss every aspect of owning an Avant! It may be the best TV B&O have ever made but to my mind i think it has to be the best TV ever made full stop!

I have an Avant 28" RF DVD in my bedroom and a BeoVision 7 - 40" in the lounge. Guess where I spend most of my time? Wink

Just bought a BV3-32 courtesy of Lee and Lifestyle AV. Lovely set and superb picture. Think it has put Jo's back out getting it upstairs but at least she has something decent to watch when lying down! Excellent sound as well and a real bargain. Thank you Lee!
