Is it possible to adjust the lid on Beogram 8000 sideways?
Now the lid scrape the edge of the black control panel when to shut the last centimeter.
It would have to be moved a few tenths to the left viewed from front.

The Beogram 800x lid is kind of a pain to work on. Due to the plexiglass lid and the tonearm compartment area (metal) lid being on one long hinge bar, it is a little difficult to work with. That whole assembly as you know, mounts to the back of the Beogram chassis via some plastic tabs. If some of those break off it can cause problems with the lid. Along the hinge there are fixed spacers for the two lids so if you move one along the hinge bar you have to move both. If you can slide both slightly along the bar (sideways to the left) you might be able to get the clearance you need but you would likely have to detach and re-attach the metal lid to get it lined up again. Also note that I have never slid the lids along the hinge bar Unsure.

Is the back part mounted securely and straight to the Beogram chassis frame? If not, maybe that is bowing slightly and causing the lid edge to not line up properly.

IF the problem occured after the BG has been opened (service position) it is likely the top and bottom part of the cabinet are not properly together.

I had this with my BG6006: it is a bit of a hassle to make sure the 2 parts of the cabinet (top and bottom) fit properly at the corner where the DIN connection is.

If this is not exactly ok, you get this problem with the lid just touching the side.
