BLC / AUX question

I bought a BLC to integrate my ML system with an Essence, but it seems like I might also be able to use it to replace an existing BeoLink active.

It is all working fine, except I cannot get the AUX LineIn of BLC to work.  

When I select "LineIn" on the BLC with the BeoMusic App, it automatically sets the Essence to "LineIn" and "joins" the BLC with the Essence in the multi-room view.  This makes me think that if I had something connected to the LineIn of my Essence, it would probably play this on the BLC.  However, I just want the BLC LineIn to play through the BLC connected speakers.

I've turned off LineIn on my Essence through the BeoSetup app.  I don't see anything in the BLC setup that would impact this.

Is what I'm trying to do possible?

PS - I found the answer while this was pending review by the moderators.  The answer is select "LINE IN" in the app, not "LineIn".  If the moderator wants to drop this conversation with myself, they are more than welcome.
