Help please with four basic questions as I want to sell this turntable. It was passed on to me after my dad died and I have no vinyl. He would have wanted someone else to enjoy it as much as he did. Maybe it's useful to someone out there and I don't want it to end up in landfill, but also want to really make sure I give potential buyers clear information so they may know whether it's really working as it should. I'm not knowledgeable at all and won't try to fix it myself, but just want to be able to explain clearly the condition.
(1) I bought an LP to check if it's working. On about 1 in 5 occasions the stylus is not quite contacting the LP, ie the arm is not quite moving across far enough. It then slips off the edge of the record. I've tried adjusting the sliding plastic weight on the arm (marked between 0 and 2) but makes no difference. Would this be easy for a buyer to sort out?
(2) When playing the 33, if I press pause, it pauses OK. However, when pressing pause again the arm moves across to where a I guess a 45 would be and resumes from there instead of resuming at previous position.
(3) The lid fitting is broken somehow and was no longer attached to the deck. So I just unscrewed the three screws on the back to remove the black plastic strip which the lid would have clicked into. It looks neater (and I saw one sold on ebay without these bits). Am I right in guessing this has no impact on how it plays? (I've kept the plastic strip, lid, screws etc in case a buyer wants them).
(4) Is there anything else helpful to a buyer I should put in an advert?

The starting points can be adjusted, no problem for someone who knows.

You should press 33 instead 45. Means when in STOP or PAUSE mode you start by choosing the speed, which is combined with the diameter, and when playing you can choose PAUSE (lift the arm and shut off) or STOP (lift the arm, go to rest position and shut off)

The hinge of the lid is a nightmare, collectors know! It plays with or without it.
All in all, it is a robust player, the only point to mention is the lift itself. Through the years, the grase hardens and the lifting is not as fast as should be, when the arm is moving back to rest position.

I take this opportunity to ask you a question since I see you prepared on the subject. :)
I bought a Beogram 1100 which had the key knocked out. it has been restored and refurbished and all the mechanics work perfectly, but it runs a little slower than 33/45 rpm.
Even by bringing the speed wheel to maximum it is a bit slower, could you give me some help to bring it to the right speed?

maybe, the pitch adjust is not in the mid position when the pointer is set to zero (happened when reassembling the rods for the rocker switch). or the motor itself needs cleaning and new oil.
