Just acquired a used Beocom 2400 but the ringer does not work.
Either than that the unit is in great overall condition.
I checked the forum for similar issues reported in the past and found out the REN factor problem.
If this is not the case with this unit then is there a possible fix for the ringer?
If i get a service manual will it be possible to figure out what the problem is and repair it?
Any help will be very much appreciated, also any one who undertook in the past such repair project is kindly requested to shed some light!

My first question relates to which country the phone was purchased from and which country you are in or trying to use it in?
For example, in the UK the ringer is triggered on pin 3 of the plug which goes into the phone line, yet in other countries the ringer is taken directly off the phone pair.

The phone was bought with this problem (user mentioned it on description) form the UK (English menu) and it will end up in Athens Greece. At the moment the phone is in transit towards me! So the Q is more hypothetical ...
Still the description is accurate!
