Hi All,
I am from Australia and would like to know if anyone from here has any experience with https://www.rio.com.au/
I spoke to them over the phone and they advised me that they are a B&O Authorized dealer. However i went into the official B&O store and asked if they can price match the item as RIO was selling it for x amount however they said this store is not authorized and that they would not accept any repairs if you've purchased from them ( RIO )
so first of all, how would they know i purchased from RIO in the first place? at the end of they day they are B&O items? are there replicas going around? do i need to show proof or purchase for any repairs?
anyways so i looked online to see if i can find them on B&O website to see if they were an authorized dealer but i couldn't find anything so hoping someone can shed some light.
And also if anyone knows whether or not the BEO Play H6 DJ Khaled edition has more bass than the H7??
much appreciated.
Hi Van,
I'm from Melbourne too.
I haven't had any experience with Rio Sound and Vision - they look legitimate in terms of selling many brands. I think they are a BeoPlay reseller and not an authorised B&O dealership.
If you bought from a reseller, Myer is another, I would think that your warranty which is an international warranty would be covered. That being said if you have a problem with a device you would normally take it back to the place of purchase (the reseller) for them to remedy.
If you registered your warranty on the beoplay website as per the information in the packet when you buy you get 2 years + 1 year and you should therefore be in the "system". If you bought from a B&O dealership you wouldnt need to do this because they already have your details.
The only device that B&O Australia probably wouldn't cover is the S3 as officially it's not supported in Australia (@#??) and the only place i know where you can get one is the Telstra Shop on Bourke and Swanston.
Therefore you will not find on B&Os website, Rio as they are not a B&O branded shop.
I dont know if the H6 has more bass than the H7, but the H7 was a later model and i would go for that. DJ Khaled model was only a style exercise rather than a bass exercise.
Hope this helps
Michael
Thanks so much Michael, that definitely boosts my confidence in buying a pair!

elephant:@hadr - there should have been a small thin booklet with a large 2+1 gray font logo in the box. No harm in still trying today
