I remember member Dave (?) bought a set of white BeoLab 9s and said that the frames/drivers showed through slightly.
No comments/experiences on white 5s.
Beo4 'til I die!
It takes courage to get white!Yes, the white fabric can collect the sediments in the air over time and stain. For me the occasional incense burning in my house has slightly stained the circular area of the bottom half of the large woofer (where air is pushed and pulled through the fabric at mid > high volumes). Some days I wish i had have chosen red or black, but the white still looks fabulous, especially in my small home where the white leaves them much less visible in my peripheral vision.
I do like the white BL3s, but these aren't fabric. I doubt I'd get the white BL9s, primarily for the reasons above.
Every time I see white products at my local dealer, they seem to have issues. The white BV10 speaker fret shows the magnets underneath, the white BL9s looked a bit grubby, the white BV26 TV looked grey in places etc.
White speakers look great in an all-white room. I have an all-white room, but after a couple of years, all-white becomes grey/yellow and has to be repainted.
The white BeoLab 9 and 5's look superb. With a once-a-week vacuum over the surface you should be fine!
If you are a smoker, however, it's probably not a great idea!
