Linking Beosystem 7000 and Beosound 9000

Could somebody please tell me if the following setup is possible?

I have a Beosystem 7000 in the living room and a Beosound 9000 in the bedroom.

Would it be possible to link those products using ML Converter linked to the AUX socket of BM7000 to listen to CDs from BS9000 in the living room?

I assume this would require to set the BS9000 as audio master and the BM7000 as a slave.

I know that I could use crossed 5 pin DIN to link those systems bus AFAIK the BS9000 does not support Datalink so remote control wouldn't be possible.

I have not tested this myself yet, but I also would like to have a setup like this for a temporary solution. My understanding is the the Beolink Converter can be used for this (types 1611 or 1612). The manual shows that you connect both the aux and powerlink to the BM7000 and of course the ML to the BS9000.  The BS9000 defaults to option 0 when there are no speakers connected to its powerlink sockets, and the BM7000 should already be in option 1.

Someone else with direct knowledge should be able to offer advice on how to control the BS9000 CDs from the BM7000.  I would assume that the BS9000 is treated as a video device?

 

I have a BS9000 and BS7000 connected I share the audio with a crossover cable made by sounds heavenly. It goes from AUX on the 9000 to TAPE or TAPE2 on the 7000. Because neither the 7000 or 9000 can be made a slave, I do not believe you can control them remotely by using the converter box. However, if you put an MCL2A or MCL2AV remote transceiver in the 9000 room and connect it to the 7000 you can control the 7000 using link commands on any B&O remote. Likewise you can control the 9000 the same way by putting a Masterlink transceiver in the 7000 room and connecting it to the 9000. Since you have to run the crossover cable anyway, running the transceiver cables can be done at the same time without much extra effort.
