Hi
I just got a beovision 5.
It has some green spots on the light parts like faces.
I tried to understand the service manual but got lost ate the memory address configuration.
I am trying to check if it use the correct address dor D1/D2 module but service manual is not easy to understand :
1°) What the address should be for B&O
2°) how and where to check
3°) how and where to change if needed
If any tech guy knows anything about this it would be helpfull
Hi everyone
Looks like no specialists in beovisions here.....
Problem is solved, green spots disapeard after understanding the procedure on the service manual (not very well explained).
After getting the right codes as explained at section : configure PDP for B&O menu.
As I do not have the remote from panasonic I ordered it on ebay from china for 10 euros and it took 20 days to reach France
Panasonic Plasma Display remote control for TH-42PW4UZ TH-42PW5 TH-42PW5UZ (this is the original remote for the PDP of the B&O)
I just had to acces the CD menu and follow the procedure on the service manual, now color are beautifull.
I still have a question :
Is there a memory battery somewhere hidden in this beovision (meaning the configuration would have been lost by getting unpluged for a long time), or some bug changed the codes... ???

Dear Ralf
That was why the internet has been made for, to share knowledge, experiences, issues, tricks etc....
But humans are not like that, lots of them are selfish, but they are still nice guys out there from time to time. (I have even have seen posts that guys came back and posting "problem solved" without explanation, that drives me nuts and I know it is done on purpose. Does not means it was really solved anyway.
And as I remember, that's also why forums have been created. The most difficult for the forum administrator is not letting his forum over taken by some guys that answers stuff like : already seen 100 times ont the forum, that kills a post, but I have another post here on this forum that says type the keywords : ....... even if it did not work on the forum, typing the same keywords on google adding beoworld.com made the trick and found archives of beoworld. Even if it did not solved my problem it made me find out that my problem is elsewhere.
By the Way, I still have to write Solved somewhere.
What often drives me crazy (anyone else?) is where you post a technical query on a particular forum or find a problem you're having has been raised there and all you see are pages and pages of posts from people saying they're having exactly the same problem. What help is that?
Many times I've plodded through dozens of posts and found no one who has any possible solution, just countless 'me too' postings!
I'm wondering what you've entered in the menu.
If the screen is recognized by the system, the values (all the colour settings) are overruled in the pasma panel.
If that doesn't happen, the system doesn't communicate properly with the panel.
All the D5,6 or 7 can be recognized by the system (2) by entering the right values on the specific addresses in the panel.
Just changing some coloursettings without measuring the picture, isn't the right way. So therefor I'm curious which settings are changed.
Keeping in mind that the values in the panel aren't the same as in the systemmenu.
On the back of every B&O panel you'll find the right values which has to be set in the system.
But I can imagine that due to aging the panel becomes tired and gives the mentioned green spots in your screen.
Dear Beobudy
Thank you for reading this post.
"On the back of every B&O panel you'll find the right values which has to be set in the system."
Do you means the B&O Casing or the panasonic PDP ???
"Just changing some coloursettings without measuring the picture, isn't the right way"
Did not touch any colour setting, did you see that in our post ???
"All the D5,6 or 7 can be recognized by the system (2) by entering the right values on the specific addresses in the panel."
I only know D1- D2 and C1-C2 on this set.
Sorry but I am no TV specialist and the Beovision 5 is the only one I have opened. It is a panasonic PDP TH-42PHD5 with some B&O electronics.
I even have a second TH-42PHD5 that is used with a panasonic tuner in another room. In case the pdp from the B&O gives up I have just to switch PDP and follow so stuff on the service manual I suppose, did not try that yet.
Sorry not being more helpfull but if you want to be more precise for a non tv repair guy in your questions, I will be glad to help.
