Hi all!

I'm an installer who's new to this site. I used to install B&O years ago.

I'm looking for a way to make a "cheater plug" for the BS9000. I'm trying to trick the 9000 into thinking pl speakers are plugged into it so it doesn't revert to option "0". I vaguely remember shorting out certain pins way back when, but don't remember which pins. I don't want to damage the unit so I figured I'd ask some experts before I perform the operation.

I remember being able to buy such a plug years ago when I used to install B&O equipment. I've come across a system which is using the 9000 as a CD player (audio out) connected to a standard receiver system being controlled with a URC remote. The 9000 is also being used for house audio utilizing B&O Passive amps throughout the home. The system works great until it reverts to option "0" hence my need to trick it into thinking pl speakers are plugged in.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try a 4.7k resistor from pin 4 (Speaker on) to pin 2 (ground). Only one of the Powerlink outputs needs this, they are connected in parallel.

Thanks Mika!

I'll give that a try today and let you know how it works out.
