Hi Guys,

Got a strange issue with my Beomaster 8000. The tuner works fine but It isn't tuning as fast as it should do. It doesn't matter how quickly I turn the dial it's always slow to move through the frequencies.. Any ideas of where to look for the issue?

Thanks

Lee

Tried swapping both tuner boards and that didn't help. Tried a different control panel and that made no difference either. Where should I be looking on the CPU board? Could it be a missing 5v rail?

Fixed it!

A tiny bit of loose solder was causing a short on the 5 volt rail that switched the transistor in and out on the fast tuning circuit.

Good find. Most of the problems I have run into on the Beomaster 8000, 6000 and Beogram 8000, 8002 units have been some sort of connectivity issue.
